In de kader van het hebben Alsemberg Wijkcontract Park-From Pianofabriek of CAFA in defense committee van het Sint-Gillis residents invited to discuss the locals projects. It happened yesterday, January 18, 2011.
WHAT WAS THE PURPOSE OF THE MEETING?
A discussion of all the proposals made by the residents, artists and associations have been put forward to meeting the wishes of the people known to the municipality of Saint-Gilles and Brussels.
PROPOSALS
What are the actual concrete proposals we work out together in a program have?
We basically chose five concepts: Concept 1
. monumental banks express a local identity.
Action Scenery in mosaic and ceramic by a local artist on the sidewalk or crossing with a reflection on safety.
Location: la cacahouète "," the two banks, "the boat".
Concept 2. More verdurisatie and vegetalisatie.
Vegetalisatie, the area attractive by giving priority to pedestrians.
City: "The two banks' Vorstsesteenweg," the boat ", Lisabonstraat
Concept 3. Reconstruction of the Fortstraat: Mobility and animation.
A street and market entertainment proposals by the residents (an artistic project) and an exhibition / video testimony of the residents about the area (information and awareness-action). The residents also want an improvement in urban lighting, installing public toilets, garbage cans with the possibility of sorting and extra places to park bicycles.
Location: Fortstraat, Celery Street and Branch Street.
Concept 4. Educational guided walk (near the Barrière)
Proposal: a walk, a trail suited to children to help them raise awareness of local heritage, the environment and their neighborhood. And a local newspaper.
Concept 5. City: School 1-2, 1-2 Fortstraat
The School regularly open for the youth of the buurt (NA schooluren, het weekend of schoolvakantiedagen) mét omkadering.
